Communication Officer Job Description
Climate Finance Network Thailand (CFNT) is seeking a new team member to join our dynamic team!
Job Title: Communication Officer
Location: Bangkok, Thailand
Job Type: Full-time (5 working days per week)
About Climate Finance Network Thailand (CFNT):
Climate Finance Network Thailand (CFNT) is a think tank and a network of like-minded individuals headquartered in Bangkok, devoted to propelling sustainable financial practices and assisting in Thailand’s transition toward a low-carbon economy in line with 1.5°C climate target. Recognizing the pivotal role of the financial sector in combating climate change, CFNT’s primary objective is to help catalyze impactful climate finance through solution-based research, stakeholder engagement, and network building.
Key Responsibilities:
Communication Strategy and Content Development:
- Plan and Execute communication campaigns and strategies to advance CFNT’s goals.
- Create, write, and edit communication materials such as press releases, newsletters, blog posts, social media content, and public relations materials in both Thai and English.
- Review all content created by the CFNT team before publication across various channels.
- Extract and translate insights from CFNT’s research and studies into formats understandable for the target audience.
- Promote communications and materials through appropriate channels, including CFNT’s official platforms and partners.
- Monitor analytics and prepare reports detailing the successes and challenges of communication campaigns.
Media Relations and Outreach:
- Handle media inquiries and cultivate relationships with journalists and other media professionals.
- Proactively engage with potential media and partners to enhance the organization’s visibility and amplify CFNT’s initiatives.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.
- At least 2 years of proven experience as a communication officer or in a similar role.
- Must hold Thai nationality.
- Excellent communication skills in speaking, reading, and writing in both Thai and English.
- Highly organized and detail oriented.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Comfortable working in a dynamic and small-size team.
- Possess a growth mindset and the ability to initiate new approaches to problem-solving.
- Keen interest in climate finance, climate change, and sustainable finance.
- Basic graphic design skills are a plus.
