Bangkok Cat Society (BCS), a Thai-registered animal welfare organization, works to improve the lives of non-owned community cats in central Bangkok. We help cats by sterilization, feeding and medical care.
BCS is looking for a dedicated Part-Time Cat Rescue Facility Assistant, who is passionate about cat welfare.
Duties include:
- Feed and give water to cats in the BCS facility
- Wash, sterilize and refill water and food bowls
- Clean, disinfect and maintain cages, litter boxes, traps, baskets, furniture, clothing and other items to make sure nothing is soiled and no odors
- Help organize the facility
- Sweep and mop floors
- Observe and record cats for general physical condition (signs of illness, disease and discontent) and activity
- Handle cats as required and restrain cats
- Report signs of illness, disease, injury or unusual activity of cats to BCS members, doctors and facility staff
- Play with the cats in designated play areas
- Take pictures/videos of the cats in the facility for adoption
- Help transfer cats in cages and traps
- Make sure that cages, traps and baskets are properly numbered and identified and are stored in the proper area and identified
- Perform general and deep cleaning in other areas of the facility to control the spread of disease.
- Laundry
- Pick up and empty trash
- Bathe cats (when required)
- Communicate and work well with other facility staff, doctors and BCS members
- Assist BCS with mobile clinic efforts and events
- Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements:
- Thai national
- Likes cats
- Has experience handling cats
- Speak and write in Thai and English
- Be able to carry equipment, cages, cats
Position: Part-Time
Schedule: 3-4 days/week
Pay: negotiable, depend on experience
