RTI is currently accepting applications for a Data Integration Consultant for Thailand. This position is for the USAID-funded Country Health Information Systems and Data Use program (CHISU) in Thailand, implemented by JSI Research & Training Institute, Inc. with RTI International (RTI), Vital Strategies, Macro-Eyes, Jembi Health Systems, and Global Evaluation and Monitoring Network for Health (GEMNet-Health).

This activity aims to support the Thailand Ministry of Public Health (MOPH) in the final stretch of eliminating malaria in the country. Thailand has set the national goal of zero local transmission of malaria by 2024 and has met the criteria for inclusion in the World Health Organization (WHO) E-2025 initiative, a program for countries that are on the cusp of eliminating malaria.

This consultant will lead to create the data integration task to develop an integration protocol, epidemiology dashboard, data extraction tool and spearheads the pilot testing of the data mart solution, dashboard update, data extraction tool in consultation with CHISU technical staff, in-country stakeholders, and the CHISU team. Transferring all relevant needed product technology to DVBD.

Responsibilities

Deliverables:

  1. Malaria data integration
    1. Develop a data integration protocol for linking patient-level data across MIS, R506, and 43 folders, including data management program (i.e. data mart, data storage, big data management)
    2. Produce a pilot Implementation Report
    3. Relevant to malaria data integration
  2. Develop an easy-to-use data extraction tool that allows users to select specific case-level and foci-level data variables to extract from MIS,
  3. Develop data visualizations (Dashboard) that displays subnational malaria free data
    1. Epidemiology i.e. re-introduction, outbreak, risk-area
    2. Epidemiological trends among key populations such as migrants and school-aged children, and identify areas at high risk for local transmission, outbreak, or reintroduction.

Qualifications

Minimum Required Education & Experience

Bachelor’s Degree and 8 years of experience, Master’s degree and 6 years of experience, PhD and 1 year of experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
