Primary Responsibilities

Under the direct supervision of Program Manager, the title will focus on these priority action areas:

  • Contribute to the planning, designing, implementation, and monitoring for assigned program activities under the supervision of the Program
  • Together with Program Manager and Deputy Program Director, engage in coordination with key stakeholders such as donors, technical and implementing partners, authorities, ethnic and community-based health organizations (ECBHOs).
  • Ensure that the project activities are carried out in accordance with the organization’s policies and strategic
  • Ensure that the project activities are carried out in a manner of promoting equity and showing due respect for all local partners by understanding their norms culture and local
  • Contribute towards the expansion and overall achievement of assigned project by contributing technical and operation knowledge and

Regular Responsibilities

  • Assist Program Manager and Deputy Program Director in preparing donor reports and project update
  • Provide technical support to the local partners for the efficient implementation of the project
  • Establish report with REACH’s local partners by promoting close relationships with all the
  • Coordinate with and advocate to authorities and other international and local organizations.
  • Assist Program Manager in planning, management, work allocation, and following up on project
  • Ensure that the relevant information is shared/ communicated between organization and local partners for timely project execution of the project and
  • Support in carrying out the assessment, survey, research, and M&E related to the project in close coordination and collaboration with respective focal persons from the different
  • Involve in grant, administrative, finance, procurement, and logistical management  of the project with supports from operation unit.
  • Other duties as may be assigned by the Program Manager and Deputy

Partner Support 

  • Provide implementation assistance to partners in alignment with donor and organization’s requirements while understanding the local context
  • Participate in the assessment, survey, and research conducted by partners (if needed)
  • Conduct training and assisting the training plan developments for partners
  • Facilitate the report preparation, collecting, compiling, and analyzing the regular reports
  • Conduct routine supportive supervision site visits as needed.

Capacity Building and Supporting other Staff 

  • Lead the development of partners’ Letters of Agreement in coordination with respective focal persons.
  • Assist Program Manager and Deputy Director in the grant management process including budget revision and BvA reviews.
  • Ensure the program operation and administration.

Organization Representation 

  • Represent REACH in the technical meetings conducted by donors or other partner organizations.
  • Able to act as the representative of REACH by having overview knowledge of all projects of the organization and their vision, mission, and objectives.

Operations and Administration 

  • Lead the development of partners’ Letters of Agreement in coordination with respective focal persons.
  • Assist Program Manager and Deputy Director in the grant management process including budget revision and BvA reviews.
  • Ensure the program operation and administration process is in line with donor and organization’s requirements and SOPs.

ESSENTIAL SKILLS 

  • University degree in Health and Public health related (MPH or relevant master degree preferred)
  • Minimum 5 years practical experience in health projects/similar positions in international organizations.
  • Demonstrated experiences in program management, stakeholder management and team management skill.
  • Experience of working in a multicultural and low-resource setting
  • Good presentation skills, writing, and analytical skills; with fluency in both written and spoken English.
  • Excellent software skills in MS Word, Excel, Power point (statistical software preferred) as well as Google Platform.
  • Demonstrated skills in community engagement, training, planning, monitoring, and evaluation.
  • Ability to quickly develop a strong understanding of the local cultural and political context and be able to motivate others and work successfully within these contexts.
  • Proven experience and strong knowledge of working in ethnic areas.
  • Ability to establish good working relationships with colleagues and stakeholders with different cultural backgrounds.
  • Flexibility to allow for travel (up to 50% of work time), variable working hours, and some modifications of tasks and responsibilities as team and project needs change.
